We’re Just A Chapter.

The daily dose of a Daily Prompt by the Daily Post.

Tell us about a time things came this close to working out… but didn’t. What happened next? Would you like the chance to try again, or are you happy with how things eventually worked out?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us CLOSE.

I had it. We had it. And then it’s gone.

Why is it that when everything is starting to fall into place, one act will make it all go away?

One glance, one touch, one note. Just once, can it go according to what we originally planned?

Somehow strings are being pulled and there’s nothing we can do.

We’ve been trying so hard. We’ve been given chances but yet another chance was needed and I guess it’s already enough given the circumstances.

The first chance was wrong in all places, the second was right. We might have mixed it up so there’s no need for more.

We should have learned, and now we’re learning.

It may be hard, it may be sad. But eventually it will be right for both of us. And together we’ll have our happy ever after, but not with one another.

I guess we’re just each other’s another chapter.
