What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned from the person you’re the closest to?
Photographers, artists, poets: show us FRIENDS.
If life knocks you down, you just have to get back up. They are the ones that showed and taught me this. We may not be the conventional set of friends but we remain the best of friends after almost 8 years. These are the kinds of people I cherish the most. In all of those years, we never had watched a movie together, go to a karaoke, or do gift-giving stuff at special occasions. Our views and tastes differ but when one struggles we never leave them and let them deal with it by themselves. We help each other. Given our experiences like having trouble staying at school, being on the verge of a breakup, getting pregnant, having family issues, etc. They have taught me that you just have to say F*ck it! then move on. And by moving on you always get to have someone to back you up. Even though they’re busy from their own lives, they’ll never leave you until they’re sure that you get to be okay again. Their strength has been one of my foundations, not to give up through high school, college, and beyond that.
This is one of the things that make me still keep them, and forever will I do. And hopefully, through them I can get to influence other people to become strong and never give up.
